My partner and I had a private tour with Fred and he was just brilliant: knowledgable, funny and interested in us both. He set the scene for the day with a story, detailed the history and the “real Algarve”. Fred looked after us throughout the morning, took us up to the mountains, showing us sights and telling stories, tried the local snacks and fire water! A lifetime experience

Did the tour to try see dolphin and caves and half day tour of Albufeira 29/10/22. It was an amazing tour with Fred who is funny, knowledgeable and shows interest in us all! The kids found him fantastic. The taste of Alte village and despite the draught was top-notch. Visiting Baltazar the donkey, the village mascot topped the kids' expectation. Off-road beaten track experience the castle, local food, history, side stories full package and well recommended. The sea was a tad bit disappointing coz the Dolphins were not there but hoping that the local authorities should provide sonar locators to help boost water tourism in Albufeira, otherwise, the children enjoyed the rough see experience, in a 25 knot speed boat! Worth the experience and kids can't stop talking about it! The location is perfect! Definitely planning for our next Portugal trip!

Fred’s Magical Mystery Tour

Fred was a Fabulous Guide. His knowledge of historical, botanical and ecological information was extensive. He drove us through orange groves where we sampled this juicy fruit straight from the trees, gave tutorials about carob seeds and shared how almond trees were cultivated by King Charles ll to provide “snow”f for his homesick Queen. We walked the perimeter of an 11th Century Moorish Castle, stopped in the artistic mountain village of Alte, tried local cakes and Firewater, beheld a beautiful waterfall, roared up a dry riverbed and slid the Jeep through puddles of red mud! Finally, Fred’s exquisite timing ensured we met a stunning sunset, the perfect culmination of a fantastic adventure.
